Jay Doblin (1920-89) was an industrial designer who founded or helped lead each of the three largest design firms* in his time.
His fourth and final business evolved into this firm and has always focused on innovation.
Jay believed the world needed a firm that was serious about grappling with the tough problems of innovation. He was certain that design would play a central role, but the task would be impossible without integrating many forms of expertise. We have worked to realize his sense of possibilities ever since.
