On March 4 and 5, 2020, Doblin London team members Tanvi Kareer, Dianna Wu, and Yi Wu will be presenting at Service Design in Government 2020 in Edinburgh. Service Design in Government is the original public sector service design conference, attracting an international audience and programme of passionate Service Designer professionals.

The process of service design looks ordered, methodical and clean. However, the reality on the ground is often vastly different. In this interactive discussion, Tani and Munpreet will talk about what actually goes on behind the scenes in service design and reflect on the surprisingly similar lessons learned on 2 vastly different projects, with the Education Skills Funding Agency and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, London.

In the public sector, many key decisions often fall outside our team’s remit. Yet each one of us have the power to create emotional connections, exert influence and inspire action through a simple art of storytelling. In this session, Tanvi, Dianna and Yi will share how the Doblin team made the case for change at the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime. During this interactive session they will introduce practical tools and ideas to plan and tell a compelling story using the skills and tools we have at our disposal.
